Welcome cocktail lovers, you are amongst friends
Small local bar supplies shop founded in London by 2 bartenders
Bar Counter London was created by a bartenders couple in Hackney Wick, London. The idea was born when we couldn’t find a place to source all the bar tools we needed for our craft. We believe that a well-designed website and an easy to use shopping experience don’t have to come with a super-premium price tag. Since we build and run our website ourselves, you can enjoy discounted rates as we don’t employ a designer or pay monthly subscription fees for our shopping cart.
To provide bartenders, cocktail lovers and enthusiasts with affordable bar tools and other supplies.
We are a one-stop-shop bar tools supplier.
You save money by skipping the middle man when you shop with us since we work directly with suppliers and manufacturers. We even make some of the stuff like wooden muddlers ourselves.
Meet the team
My name is Paul Babiak
Travelling bartender for almost 10 years.
I started my journey here in the UK, in a busy London airport. It wasn’t all rosy, to begin with. Glass washer one day, store-man the other. After I got my foot in the door and became a bartender, I started to travel and explore the world. During my journeys, I managed to work in dozens of bars in various cities on multiple continents. London, Budapest, Krakow, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore to name a few. My biggest achievement to date is winning the best mixologist (are we still using this word?) of Malaysia Award in 2010.
I’ve met many bartenders, managers and bar owners during this time, and I would often ask them “where do you get your bar supplies?” They would normally say, “Go to eBay, maybe try Amazon, generally look on the web or ask a sales rep.” Nobody could provide an adequate answer to this. With Bar Counter London I decided to answer it myself so that you wouldn’t have to ask the same question.
Hi My name is Lidia Karecka
Superhero bartender with a weakness for teddy bears
Started as a waitress then promoted to be the restaurant shift leader but bar world was always my passion. I remember when I was attending bartender’s training and courses. My goal was to have my own professional bar tool set but somehow it wasn’t easily available.
For my first cocktail competition, I had to borrow tools from Paul.
I decided to join Bar Counter London project because I observed that there were a lot of people like me. And I believe that we could create a place for them. A place where everyone could find professional bar supplies as well as tools for home cocktail lovers
